Sponsor a Student to Attend Camp

Give a Detroit high school student an opportunity to attend our journalism or photography camp for free!

All camps are 2 weeks long and include laptops and cameras for the students to use.

The student’s work will be featured in the print edition of Perspectives Magazine.

All sponsors will receive at least a half page ad in the magazine, be listed on our supporters page and mentioned in social posts and e-newsletters.

Sponsorships are $600 per student and tax deductible.

Sponsor a Student to Attend a College Essay Writing Workshop

Give a Detroit high school student an opportunity to attend our College Application Essay Writing Workshop.

Students applying to college practice and develop the skill of writing a college application essay. Students brainstorm, outline and begin drafting at least one college application essay by the conclusion of the workshop.

Sponsorships are $150 per student and tax deductible.

College Scholarship

Support a CDF writing or photography student who is now pursuing a college degree. Our annual scholarships help Detroit students pay for tuition, room and board, books, materials and other college expenses.

Scholarships for students start at $500. All donations to our scholarship fund are tax deductible.
